Welcome & Safety Information
We have been getting prepared for a new way of delivering our usual high level of service and comfort to our guests. We will be keeping up to date with advice coming from the Department of Health, Fáilte Ireland and the Irish government.
The up to date COVID 19 protocols are in place for the health and safety of our guests and employees.
Arrival & Departure
We have adopted contactless check in and encourage contactless check out where possible.
Key Cards will be sanitised before and after each use.
We have a box at reception where you can place your key cards on departure.
We can offer an email receipt for your receipt on departure
Enhanced cleaning is required in the bedrooms so we would ask you to vacate your room on the day of your departure at 12.00pm and 3pm will be the earliest you can check in.
A thorough and extensive cleaning program is in place for all guest bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas in preparation for your arrival. Once your room has been cleaned and sanitised by our housekeeping team the room will be sealed.
There are sanitising stations and key entry and exit points, including the toilets and elevator.
Signage to promote regular handwashing and social distancing is visable throughout the hotel.
We have re-engineered our food & beverage areas and are following the two-meter distancing guidelines throughout the front and back of house.
We have had to remove all information booklets, pens, notepads, bed throws, extra pillows and cushions from all bedrooms.
Guest information will now be available online.
Rooms will no longer be serviced if you are staying 2 nights or more, fresh towels will be provided each day and if you require any extra toiletries, tea or coffee please inform reception.
We will provide a bag for your used towels. Please leave this bag outside your room for collection.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions we only provide table service at breakfast. We would encourage you to inform reception of what time you would like to have your breakfast at to alleviate congestion during busy times.
If you would like to eat with us in the restaurant you can inform reception of what time you would like to eat and we will reserve a table for you.
It has been made compulsory by the HSE that guest details must be kept for contact tracing purposes. These details will only be used in this instance and will not be used in this instance.
The safety and duty of care of our guests and employees and their families is our main priority at The Highlands Hotel. Our plans are in place, our staff have had the relevant training and we’re now ready to share the changes with you.
Young guests must be supervised at all times.
Floor markings have been adopted in the ground floor to ensure social distancing and flow management.
Salt and Pepper, Menus etc. will be sanitised after every use. Single use menus will be available upon request.
Contactless/card payment preferred, if this is not possible, staff handling monies will be wearing gloves.
We would ask that if any of our guests are experiencing any flu like symptoms or sickness to please postpone your visit. If you experience any symptoms while staying with us please inform one of our team.
